Improved Render Integration with Impact in Enscape 4.2
This update contains numerous improvements and the launch of Enscape Impact!
Chaos introduces the latest version of Enscape™: Enscape version 4.2! This release features a host of improvements and updates, including Revit Graphics Override, support for WCS Mapping in Rhino, and the commercial launch of Enscape Impact. This innovative add-on seamlessly combines energy performance with real-time rendering.
What’s new
Enscape Impact
A new add-on for building performance analysis within Enscape, enabling architects and designers to quickly conduct real-time energy performance assessments during the early design phase. This supports better-informed decisions that promote sustainability and efficiency.
The add-on has been developed in collaboration with IES and is based on their IES VE API. Currently, Enscape Impact is only available for Windows users, but a version for MacOS is expected soon.
The commercial version will be launched alongside Enscape 4.2 and will require a separate license in addition to the Enscape license. Read more about Enscape Impact in our blog post.
Revit Graphics Override
Renders material and color overrides as defined by Revit Filters.
Support for WCS Mapping in Rhino
Utilizes World Coordinate System (WCS) mapping for materials, ensuring a more flexible workflow and accurate, real-world scale
Software Ray-Tracing Improvements
Introduces software-based ray tracing for global illumination and sun shadows, delivering high-quality renders on Macs and machines with integrated graphics.
Multiple Section Planes for Rhino
Supports up to six section planes in Rhino, providing more detailed cross-sectional visualizations and improved design precision.
Artistic Visual Modes Improvements
Updated texture controls in Watercolor mode, with Colored Pencil and Watercolor modes now displaying transparent material tints accurately.

Enscape™ 4.1 is a free upgrade for existing users. Please download the latest version in our download section.
