From AI to 3D with Chaos Veras 5.0
Chaos Veras 5.0 is here and, with Image to 3D, now offers a new bidirectional workflow from AI to CAD and vice versa.
Good news for architects, interior designers and visualisers! The release of Chaos Veras 5.0 breaks the familiar ‘one-way street’ of AI rendering. From now on, AI visualisation is no longer a standalone image, but an active part of the iterative BIM and CAD design process.
The key improvements
Image to 3D (Bi-directional workflow): An AI-generated image of an object can now be converted directly into an editable 3D model within the BIM/CAD environment! No more manually reopening or redrawing AI-generated ideas. The AI finds the most similar Cosmos Asset and converts it to the correct scale into a SketchUp, Revit or Rhino file.

New Grok Imagine Render & Video Engine: Veras 5.0 introduces powerful new engines for images and video, with support for clips of up to 15 seconds, including automatically generated audio by Grok.

AI Depth of Field: Create photorealistic renders with realistic depth of field. With a single click, the focus point is set and the AI calculates the natural blurring (bokeh) of the foreground and background.

Targeted Reference Canvas Editing: Draw on or directly select specific parts of a reference image to make targeted material or composition changes.
Revamped Rhino 3D Sync: The Rhino integration has been rebuilt from the ground up. Materials, textures and block instances are now synchronised 1-to-1 with the Rhino viewport.
Recycle Bin & Recovery (90 days): Accidentally deleted a render or 3D model? Don’t worry – deleted items can now be recovered for 90 days.
Improved Interface: Work faster on any screen size, including display styles such as Shaded, Arctic Clay and Textured Clay in the 3D viewer.
