Enscape 4.5 is here!

Chaos introduces the latest version of Enscape™: Enscape 4.5!

This newest release from the monthly update cycle brings several improvements, including selective asset exclusion in white mode, SketchUp 2025 support and more.

Important updates in Enscape 4.5

• Selective Exclusion of Assets in White Mode:
  Users can now exclude specific Enscape assets or categories from White Mode, allowing them to better highlight key project details. This applies only to Enscape assets and Custom assets from the Enscape Asset Library. In Rhino 7, individual selection is not supported.
• SketchUp 2025 Support:
  Enscape is compatible with SketchUp 2025, but new features such as photorealistic materials will be added later. Since older SketchUp versions are removed from the installer three months after their official end-of-support date, Enscape will only be compatible with SketchUp 2023, 2024, and 2025 from June onwards.
• SketchUp – Export Geometry:
  A new option in SketchUp allows users to determine whether geometry is reloaded when switching views or during batch rendering, improving performance.
• Revit – Support for Background Patterns (Windows only):
  Enscape now correctly displays solid background colors from Revit’s settings, following the hierarchy of overrides.
• Hardware Ray Tracing – Emissive Materials with Albedo Texture (Windows only):
  The color of the albedo texture is now correctly considered when calculating emissive materials, ensuring physically accurate lighting.
• Launching Enscape Without Writing Permissions (Windows only):
  Users without writing permissions for the Enscape folder in My Documents can now start Enscape but cannot save settings or generate panoramas.
• Preventing Automatic Restart During Installation (macOS only):
  During an automated installation, a .NET update no longer triggers a forced restart but instead displays a console warning.
