Chaos Corona 15: More AI, more detail and a faster workflow!
Veras AI now included as standard in every plan. Corona 15 is the biggest update in years!
Chaos has launched Chaos Corona 15, and this update is immediately one of the most significant in the history of the rendering engine. The biggest announcement: Chaos Veras, the AI visualisation tool that lets you generate photorealistic concepts from your 3D model in no time, is now included as standard in all Corona plans. Solo, Premium and Collection: everyone benefits.
Veras AI directly in your Corona workflow

Veras hasn’t just been added on the side; the tool is fully integrated into the Corona interface. From the Corona Virtual Frame Buffer, you send a screenshot to Veras with a single click and instantly generate dozens of creative concept variations. That makes it ideal for the early design phase, to quickly explore directions or test ideas with a client before the full scene has even been built.
From there, you can swap materials, change seasons, tweak lighting and even turn static renders into short animations, all without going back to the 3D scene. Faster iteration has never been this straightforward.
New Glints layer for more realistic material detail
Corona 15 introduces the Glints layer, a new addition to the material system that accurately simulates the sparkle of metallic flakes, sand, snow and tarmac. It’s a detail that makes a real difference, particularly in animations where light moves across a surface.

Gaussian Splats with Global Illumination
Gaussian Splats, which allow you to place buildings into realistic drone footage or existing environments, have been significantly improved in Corona 15. Splats now bounce Global Illumination light onto 3D models, allowing real-world environments to blend far more naturally into a scene. The difference between a pasted image and a convincing composition.
Light Override Material for special lighting effects

New in Corona 15 is the Light Override Material, which lets a material look completely different under a specific light source. Think paint or fingerprints glowing under UV light, or creative lighting effects that would normally require complex post-production. In Corona 15, you set it up directly in the scene, without additional node structures.
Cinema 4D users also get an early step towards native particle rendering, with the promise that further development will follow based on user feedback.
Smarter working with AI search and more efficient animation rendering
Chaos Cosmos has gained an AI-powered semantic search. Simply type what you’re looking for in plain language, and Corona finds the right asset for you, no more endlessly scrolling through libraries.
Rendering animations in 3ds Max has become considerably faster: Corona no longer reprocesses the entire scene for every frame, delivering noticeable time savings on complex animation projects. On top of that, new Cosmos Sets are available to quickly and convincingly populate scenes, the sun position can be set from the VFB in a single click, and composition guides have been added for stronger image framing.
More accurate materials and objects through AI
Corona 15 also takes a major step forward in AI precision. The AI Enhancer has been expanded with support for large surfaces: floors, walls and terrain automatically receive realistic wear and subtle, scale-accurate imperfections without manual re-texturing. Individual objects are also enhanced with greater accuracy, better preserving an asset’s original characteristics and significantly reducing the need for manual corrections.
The AI Material Generator now supports 4K textures, making generated materials immediately suitable for close-up renders and large formats. An improved interactive 3D preview in Cosmos lets you fine-tune normal, roughness and tiling settings before saving.
Streamlining collaboration and client feedback
Corona 15 makes the review process with clients and team members considerably smoother. Via a 3D streaming link, clients can explore an interactive visualisation on any device, with no additional software required. Visual annotations and structured feedback keep everyone on the same page.
Also new is video collaboration in Chaos Cloud Collaboration: animations, walkthroughs and camera flythroughs can now be shared and reviewed directly within the platform, using the existing review and annotation tools.
Watch all new features in action
In this official release video from Chaos, you’ll see the most important updates in Corona 15 in action. From the integrated Veras AI and the new Glints layer to smarter collaboration tools: everything you need for faster, richer and more photorealistic architectural visualisations.
What’s new in the Corona Collection?
Users of the Corona Collection benefit from additional updates in Chaos Anima and Chaos Vantage. In Anima, you can generate realistic parking lots in just a few clicks, and vehicles driving at night automatically have physically accurate headlights and taillights.

In Vantage, there is real-time animated water with ray tracing, improved control over fluid simulations, Toon Outlines for sketch-style design presentations, and a solar eclipse effect that lets you position the moon directly in front of the sun.
