Changelogs

Enscape 4.16

February 25, 2026
Cloud Licensing
  • New licensing option: Enscape now offers Cloud Licensing as an alternative to the Chaos License Server.

  • No infrastructure required: You no longer need to set up VPNs or local servers. During installation, you can choose between the Cloud option or the traditional server.

  • Compatibility: Older versions of Enscape (prior to 4.16) will continue to use the old Licence Server.
Asset Brush
  • Faster placement: With the new Brush Placement Tool, you can ‘paint’ large quantities of assets onto surfaces with a live preview.

  • Advanced control: You have control over the brush radius, density, distribution and variation of the assets.

  • Denser placement: It is now possible to place assets closer together, allowing you to set the amount of overlap yourself.

  • Natural variation: Support for random rotation, scaling (±10%) and tilt (up to ±90 degrees). This is ideal for creating a realistic look for vegetation.

  • Detailed erasing: With the Eraser tool, you can refine the placement before confirming it permanently.
Improvements in Light Management
  • Status: The ‘Beta’ phase of the lighting management system has officially been completed.
  • Naming: Light sources are now automatically named using the names from your CAD software (support for SketchUp and Archicad is coming soon).
  • New interactions: * Double-click a light icon to open the editing window immediately.
  • Use Alt + Mouse click (or the teleport button) to focus the camera directly on the selected lights.
  • Visibility modes: You can now switch between Show Visible Only, Show All, or Hide All. Selected lights always remain visible in the viewport.
  • Control settings:

    • Actions for light presets are now displayed directly next to the active preset.

    • The “Reset to CAD defaults” option only appears if a value differs from the CAD original.

    • A new “Reset All” button has been added.
Software-specific updates
  • SketchUp: Support for SketchUp 2023 has been removed. This has been done to improve code quality and to focus entirely on the latest versions.
