New and Improved UI
A new user interface increases your productivity by bringing previously buried functionality to the surface and reducing the number of clicks it takes to access controls.
Path Tracer Update
The Path Tracer now includes support for decals (including hundreds of high-quality Quixel Megascans) and volumetric fog, as well as improved sky rendering.
The Path Tracer also contains Multi-GPU support. Computing lighting with multiple GPUs is supported through NVIDIA’s Scalable Link Interface (SLI) technology which links multiple NVIDIA GPUs together. The Multi GPU option is available in the Preferences panel under Path tracer.
Environments and Backgrounds to Fit Your Project
New templates that offer a range of interior and exterior environments to show off your design. These provide a fast and easy starting point for your visualization, including multiple camera views; simply swap in your asset for the one in the template, and you’re ready to export your media.
Epic also added several new procedural cyclorama assets to simulate curved backdrops used in product shots to make the background seemingly disappear, bringing the focus onto the product itself. The width, depth, and height can be adjusted for each asset, as well as the radius of the curves.
New and Improved Materials
This release sees a plethora of new drag-and-drop, physically based materials added to Twinmotion’s already extensive library, as well as enhancements to the base materials.
First up, 78 new materials have been added to the Fabric, Leather, Plastic, and Metal categories. Hosted on the cloud, the new materials come with 4K textures, making them suitable for close-up camera views.
Also, there has been added a new material type with dedicated parameters and features for handling effects specific to car paint, such as Flakes and Orange Peel, enabling you to simulate a wide range of finishes including chameleon and pearlescent paint. There are 34 new materials in this category.
On top of all these general improvements, the Glass base materials now have an option to use the thin translucent shading mode, and texture maps can be added to Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, and Normal channels; there are also new parameters such as Index of Refraction, Iridescence, and Imperfections. Twenty-two new materials have been added to the Glass material library as a result.
New Ready-Posed Humans and Standard Assets
300 New ready-posed humans have been added in categories such as Summer, Business, Construction, Travel, and University, and nearly a thousand standard assets in Backyard, Sports Equipment, Storage, Decoration, Bathroom, Office, and Healthcare categories—making it easy to populate a wider range of scenes with appropriate, high-quality, ready-made drag-and-drop assets.
Twinmotion Datasmith File Exporter
Twinmotion now has a built-in Datasmith file exporter, which enables you to export your project —including materials, static meshes, and textures—in a format that Unreal Engine can understand, helping ensure materials are properly applied to assets that are from the cloud.
Optimized Twinmotion File Format
The Twinmotion file format has been modified in several ways: identical meshes and textures in a project can be detected and duplication avoided in the save file; scenes are saved with multithreaded compression on multi-core hardware; and HDRI files are now considerably compressed and embedded in Twinmotion files. These changes have a positive impact on file size, scene saving and loading times, and global performance.
Unreal Engine 5.1
Twinmotion now supports Unreal Engine 5.1, which greatly improves the Viewport display compared to previous versions
LED Wall
LED walls are used to create backgrounds for the entertainment industry (shows/films/television) in order to preview the stage before performances or filming. The LED wall can be used with both Twinmotion rendering modes, Real-time and Path tracer, and has emissive properties to light up your scenes.
Non-Symmetric IES Lights
In addition to fixing certain regressions that were introduced in previous builds, the functionality of IES lights has been improved. It is now possible to import non-symmetric IES files and render them accurately.
Scaling at the Container Level
The contents of Containers in the Scene graph can now be scaled all at once by selecting the Container and using the Scale tool.
Pivot Edit Rotation
The Pivot edit tool was improved by adding the capacity to manually change the orientation of an object’s local axis.
Virtual Reality: OpenXR
All VR headsets are now supported through the OpenXR API. Please make sure your headset drivers are up to date.

Sketchfab Library Integration
Leading web modelling platform Sketchfab is now integrated into the Twinmotion library, providing drag-and-drop access to over 660,000 free assets across four Creative Commons license categories.
660 New Assets
These include high-tech objects, musical instruments, backyard objects, entertainment objects, and sports equipment, together with over 200 new posed humans, in Winter, Shopping, Children, and Sport categories.
Import lights from Design Software
Lights in Datasmith scenes are now imported as Twinmotion lights, avoiding unnecessary rework and increasing fidelity to the original scene.
Super-High-Resolution Tiled Rendering
You can render very high-resolution—up to 64K—images and videos, using a tiled rendering technique. Great for content intended for large displays such as billboards and video walls, this feature circumvents GPU memory limitations and enables high-resolution output even on lower-spec computers.
Higher-Resolution Panorama Output
You can now export Panoramas and Panorama Sets at 16K resolution for a higher-fidelity, more immersive experience.
More Complex Presentations in the Twinmotion Cloud
Twinmotion has an increased limit on RAM and VRAM usage, enabling you to create and deploy more complex and detailed presentations on the Cloud platform.
HDRI Backdrop
The new HDRI Backdrop feature enables you to place a model in the context of an environment or studio setting and to have it realistically affect the lighting on the model. Unlike the HDRI Skydome, this feature includes a ground surface that can receive shadows.
Hundreds of HDRI Environments and Studio Settings
There are 258 new HDRI environments designed to both provide background and light the model, and 30 new studio HDRIs suitable for product shots; you can change the horizon, scale, and rotation of the image to suit your needs.
Physics-based Asset Placement
This new (early access) tool enables you to use collision and gravity simulations in real-time inside the viewport for object placement. You can simply drop objects naturally inside the scene and have them collide and tumble according to their bounding boxes.
