V-Ray for Blender Update 1 is here!
Discover the newest Chaos V-Ray for Blender Update 1: automatic Cycles converter, Geometry Nodes support, thousands of realistic materials, and compatibility with Blender 4.5 LTS.
Developer Chaos has released Update 1 for V-Ray for Blender, featuring several powerful enhancements that will take your workflow to the next level:
- Cycles-to-V-Ray Material Converter
A fantastic time saver: the converter automatically translates your existing Cycles materials to V-Ray, so you can continue using your valuable libraries without having to rebuild them. - Support for Geometry Nodes
Procedural workflows remain smooth: V-Ray can render Geometry Node setups without you having to first ‘bake’ or convert them. Very useful for complex scenes ranging from parametric shapes to environmental elements. - Chaos Scans via Cosmos
Direct access to over 3,000 ultra-realistic, scanned materials such as metal, leather and rubber via the Cosmos library. And there is much more to come: the library will eventually grow to tens of thousands of assets. - Uniform shading with OpenPBR
With OpenPBR mode, the look of your materials remains consistent regardless of the tools used—ideal for projects involving multiple applications or teams. - Compatible with Blender 4.5 LTS
Good news for anyone working with the newest stable version of Blender: V-Ray integrates seamlessly with Blender 4.5 LTS.
