Smarter design decisions with Enscape 4.13

It’s the last Wednesday of the month again, which means there’s a new version of the Enscape rendering plugin: Chaos Enscape 4.13! The latest version helps you design smarter and more sustainable spaces from the concept phase and offers an even smoother workflow with your CAD package.

What’s new in Enscape 4.13?
  • Support for SketchUp 2026, Vectorworks 2026 and ArchiCAD 29
  • Thermal Comfort in Enscape Impact (Windows only)
You can now assess how comfortable your designs feel for users at an early stage of the design process with the new Thermal Comfort feature in Enscape Impact. Based on the PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) methodology, this feature visualizes how spaces behave throughout the year, allowing you to make more informed, comfort-focused design decisions — right within your 3D design process!

  • Reports in Enscape Impact (Windows only)
You can now export analysis reports from Enscape Impact, including all key data and insights from the dashboard. This makes it easy to share designs, compare design variants, and document project performance for collaboration.

  • “Save as External Model for Enscape” returns in SketchUp
The “Save as External Model for Enscape” feature is back in SketchUp. This powerful workflow lets components be saved as lightweight external files (Linked Models), improving project performance by replacing detailed models with wireframe placeholders inside SketchUp. Once loaded in Enscape, the full geometry appears in real time. After a temporary removal due to bugs, it’s now reintroduced with improved stability.
  • Revit Improved Scene Hierarchy Naming for .vrscene Export (Windows only)
Improved scene hierarchy path exported to .vrscene files to align with Enscape’s BIM Mode naming. The unique element ID is no longer appended, resulting in cleaner and more consistent paths (e.g., Walls/Basic Wall/Generic – 200mm). This improves readability and consistency across exported scenes.
  • Enscape installer
Improved workflow by removing Sign in step.
  • Improved error messaging
Improved error messaging for missing assets.
  • Improved grass
Improved grass sharpness & shading quality.
