It’s the last Wednesday of the month again, which means a new update for Chaos Enscape™! Chaos Enscape 4.10 introduces revamped asset management via Chaos Cosmos and offers striking visual improvements thanks to advanced ray tracing!
The highlights at a glance
Cosmos for asset management
Enscape is now switching to Chaos Cosmos for the delivery and management of assets. Although the content of the assets will remain unchanged for the time being, users will benefit from a more modern and intuitive platform with improved search and filter options, a streamlined user interface and a uniform experience across different Chaos products. All assets can even be downloaded at once via the Cosmos settings. Please note that future new assets will be available exclusively through Chaos Cosmos and only for Enscape 4.10 and later versions.
Colourful sun shadows and high-quality volumetric effect
The ray tracing engine has been upgraded with coloured sun shadows, which are also supported with fog.
Better export and material support
- V-Ray scene export now also takes Revit graphical overrides into account — resulting in more accurate and consistent renders.
- Rhino PBR materials with roughness textures (Rhino 7 and 8) are fully supported, while older customized materials remain compatible.
Improved grass
A more natural look with lower density, improved placement on slopes and more subtle height variation.
Automatic level of detail
A new approach to simplifying scene geometry delivers improved rendering performance.
Disable AI functions
IT administrators can now disable AI features, such as Veras and AI Enhancer, on a per-user or system-wide basis if required by organizational policy.
