Big update for Chaos Cosmos

Chaos®, the developer of V-Ray, Enscape, Corona, and other products, has announced a major update for Cosmos, its central library of high-quality 3D assets. The update heralds a new phase of growth and innovation, with an expected increase of around 400% in available models in the coming period.

More assets, more diversity

Chaos has entered into a partnership with content providers Globe Plants en Evermotion. As a result, around 30,000 new assets will be added to the library in stages, including vegetation, furniture and accessories. In addition, the range will be enriched with new characters from Anima. Special attention will be paid to geo-specific assets, with an initial strong focus on Asian content, allowing users to give their visualisations more local context.

The first batch of new assets will be launched on September 15, followed by a second release in December. Further additions will follow over the coming months. All assets are immediately usable for high-quality rendering. In addition, a large proportion will also be optimised for real-time applications in Enscape by conversion to low-poly formats.

Access to this extensive library depends on the Chaos product used:

  • 30.000+ assets for users of V-Ray, Corona, Vantage and Envision
  • 14.000+ assets for Enscape users
  • Important: this extension is free of charge for existing Cosmos users.
Enscape integration and universal access

Starting in September, Cosmos will also be fully integrated into Enscape from version 4.10 onwards. This will make Cosmos increasingly the central platform for asset distribution within the entire Chaos ecosystem. Existing Enscape assets will be included in the Cosmos browser, after which new assets will be added gradually.

AI Material Generator

In addition to the content expansion with Chaos Scans, Chaos is also introducing an innovative AI Material Generator in August. This tool automatically converts photos of real surfaces into lifelike 3D materials, saving users time and simplifying the process.

The AI Material Generator will be available from August 4 in:

  • V-Ray 7 update 2
  • Corona
  • Vantage
  • Envision

Support for Enscape will follow in 2026.
