Revit 2026 Support (Windows only): Enscape now supports Revit 2026, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted workflow for users upgrading to the latest version. This update maintains compatibility so you can take full advantage of Revit’s newest features, performance improvements, and stability enhancements without compromising your visualization process.
* With Revit 2026 now supported, Enscape continues to follow its policy of supporting the latest 4 Revit versions (2023–2026). As a result, Revit 2022 will be removed from the installer and no longer supported 3 months from the official release. We recommend updating to a supported version to ensure compatibility.
Improved Support for Revit Filters and Graphic Overrides (Windows only): Enscape now supports Revit Filters and Graphics Overrides for linked models, enhancing visual consistency between Revit and Enscape renderings. The update also includes support for background patterns.
Note: The “Custom” Display Settings option and accurate override display for nested links are not yet supported; these features will be added in a future release.
Improved Roughness Value Handling in SketchUp: Improved synchronization between SketchUp and Enscape by introducing a fallback roughness value, ensuring the roughness setting is preserved when a roughness texture is removed.
Improved Handling of ArchiCAD Element Properties: To address performance limitations in the ArchiCAD API, Enscape has enhanced the element property system to support lazy loading of additional properties when needed, improving stability and preventing future issues related to incomplete data access.
Update to DLSS 4 Super Resolution with Optimized Presets (Windows only): Better image quality and same or faster performance compared to previous versions.
Artistic visual mode performance optimization: Removed rendering flush for contours and extended lines, as recent performance improvements eliminate the need for it – even at 4K – reducing potential slowdowns.
Trial Survey Prompt After Exit: A survey prompt will now appear after closing Enscape with a trial license, allowing users to provide feedback, delay the reminder, or opt out entirely.
Removed Delay on Asset Placement: Eliminated the 0.25-second delay that previously occurred when placing an asset, resulting in a faster and more responsive asset placement experience.
Improved Stability Through Better Error Handling: Enscape has improved how Enscape handles internal settings issues to prevent crashes during startup.
Normal Maps Now Consistently Handled in White Mode: Previously, normal maps were ignored for transparent or glass materials in White Mode, unlike for opaque materials. This update ensures consistent behavior by supporting normal maps only for opaque materials, clarifying rendering expectations in White Mode.

- Selective Exclusion of Assets in White Mode:
Users can now exclude specific Enscape assets or categories from White Mode, allowing them to better highlight key project details. This applies only to Enscape assets and Custom assets from the Enscape Asset Library. In Rhino 7, individual selection is not supported. - SketchUp 2025 Support:
Enscape is compatible with SketchUp 2025, but new features such as photorealistic materials will be added later. Since older SketchUp versions are removed from the installer three months after their official end-of-support date, Enscape will only be compatible with SketchUp 2023, 2024, and 2025 from June onwards. - SketchUp – Export Geometry:
A new option in SketchUp allows users to determine whether geometry is reloaded when switching views or during batch rendering, improving performance. - Revit – Support for Background Patterns (Windows only):
Enscape now correctly displays solid background colors from Revit’s settings, following the hierarchy of overrides. - Hardware Ray Tracing – Emissive Materials with Albedo Texture (Windows only):
The color of the albedo texture is now correctly considered when calculating emissive materials, ensuring physically accurate lighting. - Launching Enscape Without Writing Permissions (Windows only):
Users without writing permissions for the Enscape folder in My Documents can now start Enscape but cannot save settings or generate panoramas. - Preventing Automatic Restart During Installation (macOS only):
During an automated installation, a .NET update no longer triggers a forced restart but instead displays a console warning.
Enscape 4.4
February 27, 2025
- Emissive Materials as Ray-Traced Light Sources (Windows only) Emissive materials now behave as true light sources when hardware ray tracing is enabled. This ensures more predictable lighting, reduces noise artifacts, and removes the need for inefficient modeling workarounds (e.g., manually placing thousands of light sources).
- Expanded Building Type Support in Enscape Impact (Windows only) Enscape Impact now supports additional building types, including Hospitality, Industrial, Retail, Sports, Transportation, and Warehouse. This expansion allows users to perform more relevant energy and comfort analyses tailored to their specific project needs.
- V-Ray Scene Export – Export Site Context Geometry Now when exporting a V-Ray scene, the site context included in the scene will be exported as well.
- Announcement – Phased Removal of Old Host Versions Starting in 2025, Enscape will remove unsupported host application versions from the installer three months after their official end-of-support announcement. While Enscape has historically supported older releases (for example, Revit 2015 – 2021), they’ve found that continuing to bundle out-of-date versions creates additional complexity for both developers and customer support teams. Since these older releases are no longer supported by their original publishers, phasing them out from the latest installers helps Enscape focus on providing the best possible experience for current versions.
