The Clipper feature in Chaos Vantage allows users to remove parts of a scene using a simple geometric plane. It offers various settings like affecting lighting, clipping light geometry, and adjusting visibility based on camera angles. Users can enable the use of object materials for filling clipped areas or specify materials using IDs. The Clipper can also work with custom mesh objects, either removing content inside or outside the mesh. Users can include or exclude specific scene objects for more control.
Water Surface
The Water Surface feature in Chaos Vantage enables the creation of dynamic water surfaces with adjustable settings. It includes options for wave size, direction, and animation speed. Advanced controls allow for detailed wave tessellation, sharpness, and scaling. Users can also customize the appearance with materials that define reflection, refraction, and fog properties. These settings help simulate a range of water conditions, from calm to stormy. Updates to water surfaces occur when scrubbing the timeline with specific settings enabled.
